Couple Facing Mountains

Recovery Coaching:

  1. Certified Peer Support: Recovery life coaches are often individuals in recovery themselves who have been trained to support others in their recovery journey. They may or may not have formal counseling training.

  2. Goal-Oriented: The focus of recovery life coaching is on setting and achieving personal goals related to recovery. Coaches help clients develop practical strategies for maintaining sobriety and improving their overall quality of life.

  3. Motivation and Accountability: Coaches provide motivation, encouragement, and accountability, helping clients navigate challenges and stay committed to their recovery plans.

  4. Flexible Approach: Recovery coaching is generally less formal than counseling and can be more flexible in terms of meeting times and locations. It may include phone calls, texts, or in-person meetings.

  5. Confidentiality and Ethics: Credentialed coaches are professionals who have met stringent education and experience requirements, and have demonstrated a thorough understanding of the coaching competencies that set the standard in the profession. Additionally, they adhere to strict ethical guidelines to protect and serve coaching clients.
